What This Practice Does Differently
Most chiropractic care is aimed at how you feel. That matters, and sometimes it is all you need. Structural correction asks a different question first: what is this spine actually doing, measured against known normal values?
In practice that means your care begins with measurement rather than treatment. Posture is assessed and recorded. Where there is a structural question that cannot be answered by examination alone, and imaging is clinically indicated, X-rays are taken and measured: specific angles and millimetres, not impressions.
Those numbers become the baseline you are reassessed against.
It also means being told when you are not a candidate. That is a legitimate outcome of an examination here, and you will hear it plainly if it applies to you.
Relief-focused care has a legitimate goal, and for many people it is the right one. Structural correction has a second goal alongside it: measurable change in specific findings. How the two goals differ.

Care is personally provided by Dr. Gareth Bury, DC, a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic who has practised in Westmoreland County for more than eight years. He performs the consultation, the examination and the Patient Recommendation Conference, the visit where your findings, our recommendations and the proposed plan are reviewed with you.

How We Measure and Support Correction Here
Equipment matters less than the judgment behind it. Every recommendation has a clinical rationale, and every plan is built from the person in front of us.
Objective structural analysis
Examination, posture measured against normal reference values, functional testing, and structural X-rays only when clinically indicated.
Individualized structural correction
Specific corrective adjustments and corrective traction, selected and progressed from your own findings, when clinically appropriate.
Progressive rehabilitation and reassessment
Strengthening and movement education you can continue at home, with progress examinations at set points so change is documented rather than assumed.

How long is the complimentary consultation, and what happens in it?
Fifteen minutes. It is a private conversation with Dr. Bury about your concerns, your goals, previous care and whether this office is an appropriate fit. It does not include an examination, imaging or treatment.
What does the examination cost, and is it the same visit?
The comprehensive structural examination is a separate paid service; the fee is explained before it is scheduled. When scheduling and clinical circumstances allow, the consultation and examination can take place on the same day, but that is arranged at the consultation, not promised in advance.
Will I need X-rays?
Only when the examination makes imaging clinically indicated. Not every patient needs it, and the reason and the fee are explained before any film is taken.

The comprehensive examination, diagnostic imaging and treatment are separate paid services; imaging is performed only when it is clinically warranted. We are primarily a direct-pay practice and accept HSA and FSA payments. Fees and the care we recommend are explained to you before you agree to anything.
