Posture Is a Window Into Structure
A head that sits forward of the shoulders, rounded shoulders, or a back that no longer stands straight: people often notice these in a photograph before they feel them. They are not automatically a problem.
They are worth measuring, which is where the examination starts: posture plotted against reference values in millimeters, so there is a baseline to compare against later.
When a measured finding is sustained and plausibly connected to what you are feeling, an individualized plan may address it: specific corrective adjustments and corrective traction where indicated, with strengthening and movement education you continue at home. Progress examinations show whether the measurements are changing. If they are not, the plan is reviewed with you.
Children, Teenagers and Adults
Children and teenagers are evaluated here: for posture, for a curve noticed at a school screening or a sports physical, or for persistent back or neck complaints. Suitability and recommendations depend on the individual: age, history, examination findings and goals. Imaging is used only when clinically warranted, for younger patients and adults alike. The examination informs the recommendation; the patient, or a parent, decides.
What the Visit Involves
A complimentary 15-minute structural consultation with Dr. Bury comes first: a conversation, not an examination. If an examination is appropriate, the New Patient Structural Examination is a separate paid service with the fee explained before it is scheduled; when scheduling and clinical circumstances allow it can follow on the same day. Findings and recommendations are reviewed at the Patient Recommendation Conference, the separate visit where the plan and the fees are explained before you agree to anything.

Then we say so, at the consultation or after the examination, and help direct you to the kind of evaluation or care that fits. Being told you are not a candidate is a legitimate outcome here.
